Can no longer turn on xbox from xbox app

I am not able to turn on my xbox from the xbox app on windows and android, or from smartglass on windows anymore. It has been like this for months. I was wondering how can I fix this. And I have already rebooted the router, xbox, and pc. I have also forgot
device and added it again but it still does not work.

xbox won't turn on TV

Turning on my Xbox no longer turns on my TV and cable box. Tried going to tv app settings but get the sorry app took too long message. What's up?

Xbox app no longer sees xbox while in instant on, preview program app not working at all. Both since July 16 update. Ugh!!!

So, I can no longer turn the xbox on from phone or tab bc it just won't find my console. Nothing has changed on my end. I can see and turn on my PS4 with their pointless app. So it's not my network. Once xbox is on via controller or cortana, my app.willi
see it and connect. soooo...something is turning off on xbox wifi even when it's in instant on mode. Please fix soon. Second, I would love to report this problem directly from said xbox, but the preview dashboard no longer works at all. Have tried uninstalling
and reinstalling apps for both of these issues. Nothing works. Preview app and reporting tool are effectively worthless at this point. Please fix soon.

A corrupted data may cause your app not to work properly. Here are steps on how to troubleshoot issues with your Smart Glass app and with your Xbox console:

1. Re-install your Smart Glass app.

2. Manual update your Xbox Console

3. Change power settings to "Instant On".

4. Try again to turn on your Xbox console from Xbox app.

1. Re-install your Smart Glass app.

2. Manual update your Xbox Console

3. Change power settings to "Instant On".

Solution 1: Clear MAC Address on your Xbox One console.

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC address.

Select Clear.

Solution 2: Reset Xbox One to factory defaults.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console, select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Solution 3: Reset Xbox app from Settings

Click Start and click Settings.

Select System.

Select Apps & features.

Find the Xbox app and click Advanced options.

Click Reset. Restart your device so that the changes can take effect. Launch the Xbox app.

Likewise to Droopy, using Wireshark I can see UDP traffic and the network adapter on the Xbox is responding and looking like it is connecting outbound to Xbox live but the app will not connect.

It tends to work if the Xbox is manually turned on, then if you turn it off via the the app and then reconnect, it is OK. However, leaving it for ~20 mins, you can no longer turn it on via streaming
