    Can no longer remote play 360 games


    So I use the Xbox One’s remote play feature frequently so I can stream my Xbox to my laptop and still do some gaming while my kids use the tv. My laptop just died so I switched to using my iPad instead since that is the next largest portable device screen I have. I’ve never had any issues before now but when I just tried to launch one of my backwards compatible 360 games, it says something along the lines of “can’t do this”. I tried it with about a half-dozen other 360 games and get the same thing. Why am I not able to remote play my 360 games anymore?

    Game streaming is limited to certain titles also you need to register your is app fyi

    Well I’ve used game streaming on these games before so I know it works. And what do you mean by “you need to register your is app”?

    Smartglass for the 360 is no longer available, it has been discontinued.

    Peel works well, and there are several other Google Play remote apps that will work. There is also an official Xbox 360 Media Remote that outlets like Amazon or Gamestop may still carry.

    Logitech Harmony remotes can also control a 360, so there are a few options available.

    If you turn off remote play on the Xbox, then he will no longer be able to do so. I would imagine that the app is very likely signed into your account.

    Xbox Wire for info on that when it comes available.
