    Can no cancel gold account


    I have been trying to cancel gold or a while now, as I no longer am playing online games on my xbox. The website wants to verify my password before it will let me change billing options, I tpye in what I am pretty sure is my password, and it repeatedly tells
    me it is wrong. Okay, so I try and reset my password, I give the email adress associated with my Xbox Live account, and they NEVER send the code.

    Please help me to cancel my gold subscription. I can not find a phonenumber to contact, so I've turned to support forums.

    How to Turn off auto renewal or cancel Xbox LIVE membership

    How to turn off auto renewal

    It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

    Steps to follow:

    1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

    2) Proceed to My Account.

    3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

    You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

    Note:

    If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

    If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

    If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

    You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

    Cancelling xbox live account and points

    I am trying to cancel my Microsoft Live account but it will not let me until I can cancel my Xbox live gold points. I want to delete both accounts however there is no option at all to cancel an xbox live account in order to cancel the Microsoft Live account.
    Does anyone know how to do this?

    I have not been able to find that phone number for the life of me. Where did you actually find it?

    Funnily enough, the website support won't work exactly because of the issue I'm having, so here's hoping for the phone number to work. Thanks for it.

    That number has been known for a long time. It's also one of the first numbers that comes up when you google a number for Xbox support.

    old account needs deactivating

    Canceling the Gold does not lock you out of the account. Forgetting your password and security info can lock you out, but canceling Gold just turns it back into a Free Account.

    Hello. To cancel an Xbox live gold account you can turn of auto renew and let the gold run out or you can call support to have them cancel it immediately. Silver accounts cannot be deleted.
