Can my Xbox One Stereo Headset work with a PowerA controller?

I am using my Xbox One Stereo Headset with a PowerA Controller (model 150566-01).

During gaming, others can hear me but I cannot hear them. The Xbox One Stereo Headset works fine with other Xbox One Controllers,

Why don't they work together (Xbox One Headset and PowerA Controller)?

    Thanks

    :)

See if you can update the controller firmware as well.

Can my Xbox One Stereo Headset work with a PowerA controller?

    Hey there Dadio!

    Good question.

More than likely it's a compatibility issue between both accessories.

Microsoft products tend to work best with other Microsoft products.

This is the reason things like our Xbox One Headset adapter was designed to deal with.

If you haven't yet, I would totally suggest looking into getting one of those.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for reading!

I have never heard of that type of controller, you may need to reach out to that retailer to ask them how to get it to work.

How to game with a headset?

    Hello GentylBear,

And congratulation on the new Xbox :) . If memory serves me correct, Xbox Ones are shipped with a small mono

    Chat Headset
that has an adapter attached to it and can only work with and be plugged into an Xbox One controller. However, the newer Xbox One

    Wireless Controllers
also have a 3.5mm jack and any compatible stereo headset with a microphone should work fine. We have two of the

    Xbox One Stereo Headset
and both work very well. In deed, they are probably the best stereo gaming headset you can get for the money (about $60US). Also, it comes with its own

    Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter
. Unlike the Chat Headset, the Xbox One
    Stereo Headset
has a 3.5mm jack and can be plugged directly into the controller. I've even used my Xbox stereo headset with my phone. However, the Xbox One

    Stereo Headset Adapter
has buttons for game/chat balance, volume and the all important mute. So, I recommend using the stereo headset with its adapter. If you do that, there really isn't any setup. Just plug it in and start playing. But, if you do plug
a headset directly into the controller via 3.5mm jack, the Xbox will automatically makes Headset volume, Headset chat volume and Mic monitoring settings available right at the > Settings menu directly off the Home page/menu (kind of cool isn't it). Make sure
the Headset mic is set to On.

    Good luck and good gaming,

    Xbox one headsets cut out

    Mad Squirrel JN,

Are you using a wireless or wired headset?

Try some of these solutions listed below:

    Stereo Headset isn’t working

If your Xbox One Stereo Headset isn’t functioning correctly, check the following:

    • Have you updated your controller’s software to support the Stereo Headset Adapter?
    • Make sure your controller has fresh batteries. When the batteries get weak, some controller functions, such as audio and rumble, are turned off to conserve the remaining power.
    • Make sure your Headset Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset’s 3.5-mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter. You will know it’s plugged in properly if you press the mute button and the LED lights up.
    • Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox
      Online Service Center
      .
    • Try your Stereo Headset and Stereo Headset Adapter on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try updating
      the first controller
again. If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online Service Center .
