Can my laptop run Microsoft flight simulator its an i7 btw?

If your processor generation is less than 4th gen. You can't run the game.

If not, you can run it. But please keep in mind that you need to have at least 2GB for dedicated video memory to run the game.

If your laptop has an integrated graphics card the game is not going to work or is going to had a lot of lag.

You can check the minimum and recommended requirements for the game (picture attached)

having an i7 is the least of your issues, you need a descent discreet gpu in the laptop to run the game, unless you tell us what specs of your laptop is then nobody can help.

Microsoft Flight isn't Microsoft Flight Simulator. Different game and it's not as demanding as your think. Most PCs/Laptops should be able to run it.

Microsoft Flight is the latest installment to the flight genre though.

Thanks, was hoping to have some flying experience on Microsoft Flight Simulator using my present laptop until I get a proper gaming machine. I'll have to wait until my new machine is in hand

I'm afraid have to disappoint you, your laptop won't run MSFS2020. Your machine (a 2in1 Laptop) does not have a dedicated graphics card.

Most general purpose laptops and even more expensive laptops don't have dedicated graphics hardware. Your machine can play some games, but it won't even launch Flight Sim.

I play Flight Simulator on a gaming tower PC that I built it myself. It has a i7 8700, 16GB of RAM and a GeForce RTX 2080. The RTX graphics card cost £700 alone. My machine cost me over £1,500.

I can just about reach a similar level of detail seen in the promotional videos, it's a very, very demanding game and needs specialist hardware to run.
