Can my child be in two microsoft families?

So if my child is already in his dad's Microsoft family, and I want him to be in mine, but we are divorced, can the child be in both families or only one? And no, dad won't add me to his, so that is why I am asking this.

    :)

Two gamertags (two kids) on one Microsoft Account?

    Hi April,

Thanks for reaching out to us in forums with this issue. When it comes to accounts for Xbox/Microsoft, there is no way to merge two accounts into a single account. If you would like to be able to monitor both accounts, you can use Family settings to designate
them as part of your Family by listing them as child accounts with your own account as the parent one. Here are some handy support articles that can guide you and provide you with information on how to set up a Microsoft family account:

I hope that this information helps you out!

Child's gamertag missing from parent's Privacy & Online safety settings

Two hours on Chat with the xbox support team (props to Lily W. the Microsoft Answer tech)
    and it's fixed now

    .

    Bottom line ...

    1. Remove the Child's account from your Microsoft Family
    2. Remove yourself from (Leave) the Microsoft Family
    3. Create a new Microsoft Family & invite the Child account to it
    4. Once the child accepts the invite, make sure you
      Manage your child's Profile Info
and Give Consent for them to use their Microsoft account to login with services like XBox Live
    5. Visit https://account.xbox.com/Settings and you should now see the Child account's gamertag and you can manage the settings.

zmiana konta rodzic na konto dziecko[change parent account to child account]

    Hi leon,

Thanks for your post. An adult account can be added to a Microsoft Family as a child, and will be treated as such. Allowing the owner of the family to adjust permissions to the adult account that would be considered a child account after being added to the
family. For more information on Microsoft Families check out:

I hope this helps, thanks again!

    Family on account

Your husband would have to sign into his account at account.microsoft.com/family and remove them from the family and if he wants them in his family he would need to add them as an adult

Now whether an account is considered an adult account or child account is based on two different things.

    1. The date of birth on the account when it was originally setup.

    2. Whether it is a child in a family. (even if the date of birth is above 18 and it is a child in a family it will be considered a child)

Now the account can be removed from the family as a child but if the date of birth when it was originally setup is still under 18 the account will be considered an orphaned account and would need to be added to a family as a child before it would be able
    to do ANYTHING.

XBOx Live Memberships for me and my family

Well, Xbox LIVE has Family Packs. which allow one adult to adminster three Child accounts. Only the adult can buy, and they can disburse Microsoft Points to buy games or things used in game by a 'Points Allowance'. The Child accounts can play on other
consoles away from home, and an account profile (Child or Adult) can be on multiple consoles at the same time (but only one of those can be signed in at any specific time). If the Child splits away from the Family Pack, they can take their gamerscore and purchases
    with them.

With six to play, that would entail getting two Family Packs. Sorry, no Family Six Packs.

I'd suggest making new Microsoft Accounts at
    http://signup.live.com
for each family member; the alternate email addresse for each can be another family member's addresse. Please record all the data used as they may not remember that later.

    You will probably also enjoy

which lists sales, bargains and promotions. That is the blog of a Microsoft Xbox exec whose gamertag is Major Nelson, hence the name of the blog.
