Can Microsoft enforce xbox live "compatibility" for it's games.

Hi,

I pay monthly for xbox live. I got a game through the platform (COD: Warzone). I bought in game content through the platform.

I would like to play with other xbox players like I always did yet I am forced to enable PC-PS4 crossplay by Activision.

I know we can technically disable cross play in xbox account settings but very few players know about it.

Couldn't Microsoft enforce games that run on it's platform to explicitly support xbox live only lobbies ?

This is just one game but it would be unfortunate if this trend continued. The biggest advantage of playing on Xbox was simplicity, I download a game and start playing without worrying about players abusing the system. Infinity ward is encouraging us to spend
time reporting cheaters but I already have one job, I don't want a second one. Cheating was never a visible problem on consoles and it doesn't have to be.

To add salt to the injury PS4 players can disable crossplay in the game so we are clearly at disadvantage here.

Hey, I don't really play COD, but from what it sounds it doesn't have the option to disable cross play. However from what I have heard, which im not 100% sure this is the truth. But it seems like it only lets you match with people using controller if your
on controller, and you can't switch to a keyboard when your input is set to controller in the ingame settings.

The guide they have on the websites tells that one can disable crossplay in the in game menu which is not true when playing Warzone on XBox. This has been an issue that allot of players confirmed through posts and yt videos.

It seems to be the case most of the time but not always. I'v been matched with folks using keyboard and mouse before. On top of that daily I come across players who are clearly using "performance enhancing" software.

I don't have big hopes that COD will change their stance but would be unfortunate if more and more games followed this pattern. I stopped playing COD on Xbox for that reason and can't help to feel cheated of the money I spent on in game content.

Can you log into your Microsoft account, and have you checked the status of your Xbox Live on the Xbox Enforcement website?
