Can messages from over 5 years ago from xbox get you banned even if you went back and...

Ive spent over half a decade using that account its really sad knowing I will have to start to main a brand new account now. But just on this, users have deleted messages from my chat and it has came up as deleted on my end and I couldn’t see it, even if that was the case do you think it’s likely me calling someone something rude could get me banned from 6 years ago? Trying to weigh up my options here as Id rather be safe and start a new account and build up gamerscore from there or if the chance is low I could continue on my new account while slowly building up my other account so it doesnt seem like a chore.

I was worried that old messages I sent when I was younger from 5+ years ago could still affect me. Sad to know they still can, I made sure to delete many messages I sent years ago so how long would microsoft hold onto these for? Even though these are unlikely to ever be reported I don’t want even a slight chance of that happening since I want to remove that chance from ever happening.

Finally, Do you have any advice on what I could do from your experience is it better I start a new account? Any extra tips would be greatly appreciated as I am a big gamer

I am after contacting microsoft about this issue and in short was told due to me deleting these conversations it is not really something I have to worry too much about especially due to them being so long ago. Following the code of conduct as of recent and now on is what I should aim for. So thats most of my concerns put to rest, think I will keep my account now without having to wash away over 6 years of memories. I should add if any action was taken, it would be extremely unlikely for it to be a permanent ban, more like a communication ban etc.

Well my recommendation is that if you do not have much attachment to your old account and want to give you a fresh start and start with a good foot, you could choose to create a new account in which you have no record of bad activity that can be detrimental to your future, but well everything falls on what you decide and what you want, I hope you choose the best option you consider and continue enjoying everything offered by the microsoft family, have a happy day and remember if you have any other questions let me know and I will gladly respond you
