Can login on the site but not the xbox

I am trying to download my profile to my new 360 but when ever i enter the password it says "that password didn't work. try a different one" even though it's same password on the site as well as the console.

Cannot sign into the Xbox App on Windows 10 (0x409) error.

same issue with a gameloft game.

I cannot play because my Xbox account does not automatically login, but I can login in Xbox site page using internet explorers.

can someone give us a solution?

 

Password will not work

I could not remember my password for xbox live so I came online and changed it. Online I can login in to xbox live site and to the microsoft account, but on my xbox it's telling me the password in invalid. Any idea why?

 

Same here. I have had an account, and used the 360 with it, for YEARS. Hadn't used it for a while though (a few months) and so when I tried to use the xbox this morning I had to go through all this crap to "verify" my account and in that process ended up
having to change my password. Now I'm getting the error message on the xbox that my new password doesn't work but OBVIOUSLY it is working here on the site. So freaking annoyed right now!!! I just wanted to use it to work out this morning and spent all of my
available time dealing with the verification crap and it's still not working. I guess I'll just use the 360 for a paperweight, play the PS4 and use On Demand for working out.

I would suggest checking your hard drive to make sure your profile hasn't become corrupt, if it has then you will need to delete the profile ( Make sure to delete profile only) and re-download your profile.
