Can join multiplayer with some friends but for one friend it's either they join or me but...

I've encountered a similar problem...friends not being able to join one of my two maps (getting the you're not friends message), but can join another. I can join their games too.

Seems to be some quirkiness in xbox-one friends.

I suppose any one of these can join you in multiplayer mode:

* your friends.

* players who may not be your friend but a friend of one of your friends.

* recent players even from other games.

firstly check the game settings then check your privacy settings could be a issue with friends that have not added you as a friend not allowing them to join lastly check nat type settings and ask your friends to do the same.

My settings allow friends and friend of friends to connect.

As i said, when nobody is connected on my world, one person only can join.

Let me explain with an example :

I am in my world

Friend A tries to join my world : success

Friend B tries to join : failure.

Friend A disconnect himself

Friend B ties to join my world : success

Then, Friend A tries to join again : failure.

The problem is that only one person can join me, and nobody else can, no matter who it is.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help troubleshoot the issue.

From your description, it sounds like the issue might be stemming from your friend's saved world since you can both join general servers, you can join other friend's servers, and nobody else seems to be able to join your friend's personal server.

What device is your friend playing on? Have either of you create a new world for testing to see if you can join each other at all?

It could be that the world is corrupted and hangs when trying to join multiplayer.

I would also recommend a hard reboot of both devices.
