Can it harm my XBOX Power adapter if I place a T-Shirt on top of it to avoid dust coming in?

Hello, good afternoon. So I have a power adapter that I brought on Amazon not too long ago because I had an adapter that I bought last year and it kept making unnecessary sounds like a circular saw. Before it happened, it was normal, it didn't make any sounds. But then months later, it started to happen. I was worried cause it could've been the dust or maybe my heat radiator was on because I have a small table and my heat radiator is underneath it but my TV, Cable box, the console, and my power brick are all sitting on the table connected. I have all of it connected at that spot because my house room is very small and I don't have any other place to put it and also my wall outlet is next to my table.

So what I do is to avoid overheating and barking/saw sounds is that I place a T-Shirt or cloth on top of my power brick so that way dust won't come in and get stuck inside there. I did the best that I could to prevent that from happening all the time.

And lastly, I have my XBOX Console set to Energy Mode. So when I have it connected after 45 secs, sometimes it'll open up itself more than once, especially while I'm sleeping or running errands. I usually think it may be the power adapter acting up.

So I end up buying another one on Amazon but the question is could it be unsafe or harmful if I put a fabric cloth on top of my adapter?

Thank you for taking this time to see my comment. I've been patiently waiting on an answer. Um, unfortunately, it's not the original XBOX Power Brick but I had brought more than one adapter power brick on Amazon. It's called X-One Compatible for XBOX One Consoles. And also, summer is on its way, how can it affect that too? I have an air conditioner but there are times I can't power it on because too many connections may cause power outages in my house. So what is the best way to prevent overheating?

The adapter I mentioned, power filter, it has a very good capacity, it won't get hot enough to cause any problems.

But on the console, it is not advised to leave any cloth on top of it.

Oh no no no, never can I place a cloth on my console. But you said the power brick I own is good for now, correct?

And also, when I'm not using it, I plug it all off. But the sites and instructions say that I should place them in a good ventilating place. I put them in either my backpack, locker, or back into the box where it came with. Is it good?

Yes, I believe everything is fine.

My advice would be this, buy a reliable power strip to avoid overheating.

About putting a cloth/t-shirt on top of the adapter or the console both connected, yes, it makes the device heat up more, which can cause risks to the console. But with the console off, I believe that nothing requires so much power as to heat the adapter.

About that same adapter, I don't know which one you use, the best option in this case would be a very good quality line filter, like the clamper brand.

Because if it really isn't from a good brand, the power can fluctuate, sending unnecessary energy to the console and making it turn on again.
