Can I use these earphones through the Xbox one controller?

I have an xbox one wired controller that had a 3.5mm jack. I have been trying several of my headphones & earphones to see what works. All of them get audio; but I've only seem to find one (w/ an inline mic on the cord) that allows me to chat. I would prefer
to use my Bose Soundsport earphones since they have great audio and allow me to hear ambient sounds in the room as well. It has an inline mic, and when I play ESO it shows that I have an active mic; however it doesn't seem to be registering my voice. Any suggestions?

Two earphones ?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if you can use two sets of earphones (Turtle Beach) on one xbox for split screen play also do you need an adapter for the chat facility so both players can use the mic on the earphones (2 into 1 or a splitter)?

I don't want to buy another set of Turtle Beach earphones if you can't.

XBOX One - wireless controller question

Hi,

I recently bought (another) XBOX One. The new one came with the wireless controller with 3.5mm headphone socket. I may have misunderstood but I thought this meant that you could use ordinary headphones with the wireless controller. However, the sound still
comes from the TV as before. I get sound through the earphones *and* through the TV.

Is there a way of choosing to have the sound come through the earphones and not the TV?

I forgot to mention that I am able to use Cortana through the Bose earphones; so I know that it's picking up my voice.

Thanks for the reply GDS1972 but that wasn't the problem I was having. I ended up buying the Xbox headset with the audio adapter. So it all works as desired.

I was able to find a pair of earphones (w/ mic) that worked with the adapter; they are made by JL-Audio.
