Can I use the XB1 controller on my pc wirelessly yet?

I know they released the pc drivers but to my knowledge you still need to be connected to the pc via micro usb connection. I'm not the savviest of the savvy, if there is another component I can use to be able to use my controller wireless can someone point
me in the right direction?

Wireless controller disconnects when play and charge kit is used with computer

I have the wireless adapter so that I can use my 360 controller on my PC.

The other day, my wireless controller was low on batteries, so I used the play and charge kit and plugged it into a USB port on my computer. The controller appeared to be charging (the red light came on), but then the green ring of light started flashing
and it had disconnected from my PC.

This happens anytime I try to charge it with my PC.

Why is this happening? Is not not possible to charge the controller with my PC while it is connected wirelessly?

 

Xbox 360 wireless controller.

I would like to play some of my of my olf Tigger Woods PC golf games using a game pad. When I look up what controller to use it is shown as the same one as my wireless Xbox one. How can I make it work on my PC.? PC is wirelessly connected to my router
as it my Xbox.

 

To my knowledge the Xbox Ones controller uses a proprietary wireless signal so until some sort of receiver is release for the PC youll be stuck with a cable. Why not just buy an old 360 controller, i know they make receivers for them.

 

Fair enough. Maybe I'll get the 360 controller (I may still have the receiver to use it with my PC laying around in this rubble somewhere). Kind of odd that a proprietary wireless signal would stop Microsoft from making controllers made by Microsoft to work
on a Microsoft operating system.

I work in the corporate environment and there are departments I loathe having to collaborate with but come on MS...One Windows!

 

You would need the actual hardware for the signal. If it was a normal bluetooth Id agree.
