can i use the usb cable to play? can the controller be damaged?

Yes, you can use the controller while connected to the console using usb cable. This won’t affect performance and won’t damage the controller. Using the controller wired of course means you don’t need to use batteries.

You can also update the controller while connected through USB cable.

Standard xbox one controllers require a micro USB cable. The elite series 2 and xbox adaptive controllers require USB type C cable.

If its a Xbox One Official Controller then there will Not be any issues. It does not damage anything.

It can be a bad connection between the controller and the USB cable...

- Check if the micro USB connector in your controller have any dust or damage

- Change the USB cable

If the issue persist I recommend you take your controller to a trusted technical assistance and check if there's any problem with the controller.

I have been watching videos on youtube, and they say that the controller can get damaged by using it for a long time using this method, or it can get damaged by keeping it connected while the PC is off.

I have many questions about this:

1. How do I avoid any posibility of getting my controller damaged?

2. How much long can I play without damaging my controller?

3. Do I need to disconnect it while the PC is off?

I know you said that you reccomended the original play and charge kit cable, but the kit is about 600 MXN (30 dollars) and this as minimum, but now I dont have the money for it, I have a Moto e4 Verizon, I dont know if the cable is the appropiate for the
controller.

4. Apart from the play and charge kit cable, what kind of cable would you reccomend me to make this?

5. Can I use my charger's cable?

6. Can there be cables that damage the controller?
