360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

Will the same two tier license work on Xbox One as it did on Xbox 360 though? e.g. you get a license for the console and a license for the Gamertag.

So one console at a time I should be fine? I don't have to answer mutiple questions when signing in each console everytime?

Yes you can only be signed in on one console at a time and you should not have to answer multiple questions every time you sign in.

Yup. I have 3 consoles in my house and have it set up to auto sign-in under my screen name on 2 of them. Never had any issues with it.

follow up question: If I use the feature "share my gold with all users on this console" on one of them, can someone else be signed in(sharing) on that console, then be signed as yourself on the other in the same household?

Yes. Just so I don't misunderstand, let me try to describe in more detail:

Let's say you have one console in the living room for all family members to use (the "family console"). And you have a second console for yourself ("your console").

If you sign in on the "family console" and set it to "share gold with all users on this console", everybody that signs in on that console will have access to your shared Gold membership and the games you bought and downloaded on that console.

So your wife, kids, guests, neighbours, etc. can all sign in on the "family console" and enjoy the Multiplayer benefits of your Gold membership.

At the same time, you can sign in on "your console", and also play your games, and play online multiplayer as long as "your console" is connected online to Live.

So basically, if you bought, let's say "Halo" on your Xbox One, the family Xbox One will also unlock Halo for everyone to play. So your kids, wife, guests whoever can start Halo, and you can go to your console, start Halo as well, and you can play online
multiplayer with your kids/wife/whoever. Just make sure everyone uses their own account. Because as soon as someone uses your account to sign in on the "family console", you are being signed out of "your console" and vice versa.

Does that sound cool or what? ;-)

Remember, in this scenario, the "family Xbox One" is the "home console" for your xbox live gamertag/account. And "your console" is NOT. It could be the home console for someone else though.

But is it possible only the family members to play in both consoles without 'main user' (xbox live gamertag account) signed in? As I want both kids to play in diferent rooms.

    Thank you...
