Can i use my xbox from the US in Ireland/UK?

Hi there,

I have an Xbox One S and have moved to Ireland. I wanted to know if it is safe to use it here meaning would it damage the console if I was to buy an Irish power cable/cord since they use different voltage/watts. I heard with the original xbox one you could
buy the power brick from Ireland but since the xbox one S doesnt have a power brick anymore and instead just uses a power cable/cord I just want to make sure it won't damage the system.

Region free games??? Purchase xbox in one country and buy games in another country.

If I purchase an Xbox one in Ireland, can I use games that are physically purchased in US or UAE? (not downloads)

I was previously told that when I bought my Xbox one that it is region free and so will play any games from around the world, But my sister just bought the Xbox one herself in Ireland and was told that only games in Ireland will work. Can someone please
clarify on this? thanks

my xbox account has always been registered in UK, yet i've bought 12 months gold from both Spain and Gibraltar in the past with no problem's.

Ireland uses's euro's the same as spain so i couldn't see a problem with it as i know a friend from Ireland who lives here buys cards from here to use on his Irish console.

Again with the IP i've never had a problem downloading anything from Marketplace. although i don't download games only DLC.

So with that i'm assuming i could change my region to Ireland and use the euro cards? i think Ireland uses PAL and not NTSC?

I believe it should be OK to use in Ireland/UK if you look carefully at the serial number label on the back of your Xbox One S just above the barcode it should hopefully say it supports a rating of 100-240V~ .

I think you just need to obtain the correct figure 8 power cable for the region.
