Can i use any region to purchase content on xbox store?

I need to know if i can use any region on xbox store to purchase content ?

Is it illegal? or breaks Xbox Live terms?

Also incorrect. So long as you do not change consoles all accounts, regardless of what region they each are, can share content. The only exclusion would be avatar items, Call of Duty Elite content and certain region locked content.

Account Region

Some content are region-locked, meaning you won't be able to download them.

So you will need to make an Australia account and purchase Australian Microsoft Points in order to download the region-locked content.

You can still use your UK account, but only if they don't have any regio locks on the content.

 

as you could make use of changing your Region to purchase games that are not allowed in your own Region, this is a Violation to live terms

I migrated my xbox live portuguese account to united kingdom, can i still use the portuguese xbox store to buy content with my portuguese credit card and my home adress from portugal?

No this is not working, as you need a proper payment method and billing address in the country you use the marketplace. So it's not possible to use a portuguese credit card on the UK marketplace.

On Xbox One everything is region-free, it doesnt matter if your xbox live account is US or UK , etc.

You select what country you want to use on settings menu using the Xbox One.

I just purchased a 12 month subscription of EA Acess using the Portuguese region with my portuguese credit card and billing address, and my xbox live account is now UK.

I still dont know if its OK to buy content on any region using xbox one since everything is region-free?

Anyone with an Xbox One can answer this?

Hmm, that's different in the way my answer was intended. . It's meant like: you cannot use a portuguese credit card on the UK marketplace, as you need a billing address in the UK to purchase items in the UK marketplace. As your switched your region before
your purchase back to portuguese, of course you can use your portuguese credit card. But your will not be able to purchase items with a UK credit card on the portuguese marketplace and vice versa.
