Can I use any AV adapter to connect my Xbox 360 to my TV?

You can solve that problem if you get a used Microsoft AV adapter, or one of the third party brand AV adapters that have been confirmed to work correctly (I don't know off the top of my head which ones do).

The AV adapter is wired to ID as an audio-only connection, and the Xbox 360 will simply wait to re-establish the HDMI link with the TV if it's lost.

Beware though that many third party AV adapters ID as a composite cable, and have the same problem as the regular AV cable, confusing the Xbox 360 to reboot and output analog video.

The AV adapter you linked to should do the trick. Be aware though that they are often not wired to identify themselves correctly as AV adapters, so the Xbox 360 may reset if it loses connection to the TV (for instance if selecting another source while the
Xbox 360 is on), or be grumpy if started up before the TV has been turned on and is fully awake.

Both those issues can usually be worked around as mentioned.

Something like that seems to happen to me.
A few weeks ago my xbox one s runs perfect if I connected it to my projector or TV through the HDMI port.
Now its only recognize a new TV, or I have to connect it to my projector through the AV port, with an adapter (hdmi to AV). If I connect it directly to the projector 's HDMI port,
nothing is visible.
The projector's hdmi works perfectly with my pc or with the digital camera. Then, the console emits signal unfailingly, because I can use it with my new TV,
or with my projector through the AV adapter,
Of course the quality is a little less than 720p.
Will it be an update error?
I already tried the cold start (start in low resolution) and it only worked with the TV, not with the projector.
If anyone knows anything, I greatly appreciate it!

I tried this with my HP 2159m monitor and a Spilnter Cell Conviction 360. No issues. The thin AV adapter is plugged into the AV port and a regular HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI port on the monitor. I can flip to VGA and back to HDMI without causing
any issues for the 360.

Where to get an A/V cord?

• Electronics Store: would carry a wide range of Audio/Video cables/accessories. Although, being the Xbox 360 is fairly outdated, you may have difficulty finding the correct cable for the Xbox 360. Possibly in a "Clearance Bin" if you're lucky.
• PawnShops/2nd Hand Store: these shops typically have an abundance of Xbox and related accessories. Since the demand is quite low, it's likely to have been collecting dust on the shelves or backroom.
• Amazon: Just about anything can be found on Amazon.

How much cost?

• Electronics Store: Again, it may be difficult to locate the specific Xbox 360 cable you require, considering the age.
• PawnShops/2nd Hand Store: Reasonably cheap, considering they are most likely "used" and the owner simply wants it gone.
• Amazon: Averages between $5 - $10 usd. (examples provided in links below)

Such thing as AV/HDMI cord?

To my knowledge, there is no AV(Xbox360 specific) to HDMI cable. However, there are several other options available:

• Xbox 360 component HD AV cable. Works with both Standard and High Definition TVs and monitors.
