  2. 120GB SSD

Not sure how to ask this..

I just bought an external 120GB SSD for my Xbox one s. Totally forgot that it dont read anything under 256GB... is there anything that Microsoft can do or maybe someone can do to make it work? Cause honestly. All I wanna do is use my external 2TB HDD to
store my games. And move the game I'm playing to the SSD for faster loading times.

MICROSOFT lower the cap! Send an update out for a lot of us to be able to use a 120GB SSD!!

    External SSD for Xbox One

    Hello people!

I was looking for additional storage on my good old Xbox One. And then though it was cool to get a SSD, to also increase speed loading.

Problem: I found a "Xbox One SSD Game Drive" 512GB from Seagate on Amazon. But it's waaaay to expensive....

Can I just use any kind of external SSD to plug into console?

Or did I need an "official" one?

    Cheers,

    S.

As long as the external hard drive meets the external storage requirements of the Xbox One then yes you can.

For an external storage drive to save games and apps from Xbox One, it must meet the following requirements:

It uses a USB 3.0 connection. If you’re using a USB hub, the hub must also be USB 3.0 or later.

It has 256 GB or larger storage capacity.

It has a partition. Typically, drives come with a preformatted partition. For more information about partitioning an external hard drive, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.

No problem. If you decide to go that way please post back with your results. I personally use an external HDD (Not SSD) and it works great.
