Can I use a VR headset to play Microsoft flight sim on a my pc through the xbox app?

You can't use a VR headset on Xbox at all. Xbox consoles have zero support for VR headsets, be it 2D or 3D. VR in Microsoft Flight Simulator is only supported on PC.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. Yes, Valve Index is compatible with Microsoft flight simulator. However, it's not a plug and play device. Hence, you'll need in depth configuration to make it work properly.

I have enjoyed playing and watching multiplayer VR games so any from that cateogory is a go for me. If you want to try playing Xbox games with a VR headset I have seen articles about connectin your Oculus headset through the Xbox app on pc.
