    CAN I USE A DVI-TO-HDMI ADAPTER?

    same problem - So I have order a converter box and will be trying the 5 rca type cable to HDMI converter box. I was Using the DVI , of course there is no audio because DVI does not carry audio and the picture was degraded. Once I try the convert box I'll
    try to post back. I purchased the convert box from ebay ..there about $25 - The TV thing was one of the main reason I wanted the X1 - so I got to get it to work.

  4. can I use a hdmi splitter?

    I would just be aware that the Xbox One is not exactly designed for HDMI-splitting (nor is it supported), and there may be issues if you're trying to output to two different TVs, such as getting a blank screen on one or both televisions. I say this because
    HDCP tends to complicate matters like this. There's varying success overall, depending on the splitter.

    Are you trying to do this, by the way?:

    Set-top Box --> Xbox One --> Splitter --> (TV #1) / (TV #2)

    Question about hdmi splitter and connecting through the cable box

    You are actually using a HDMI switch, which is different from a splitter. You need a 1 in 2 out HDMI splitter. You will connect the HDMI from you cable/sat box to the splitter, then 1 HDMI from the splitter directly to your TV to watch like normal. Then
    the other HDMI from the splitter to your Xbox one HDMI input, and another HDMI from Xbox one output to the TV. Check out the video like I posted for more info.

    [/quote] Thanks for that video. J was going to do this, but was reading that Xfinity/Comcast boxes detect splitters as copying devices and the box locks out. Can you confirm your cable provider and cable box model? Also, how was your xb1 shutting off when you
    switched inputs?

    Sony Bravia does not select 3d "Side by side" for xbox 360

    Just a follow up. I received a brand new HDMI splitter and the 3d does indeed work through the splitter. My other HDMI splitter must have been defective.
