No one has yet told me how I can uninstall a game which won't work.

I have just purchase Halo: The Masterchief Collection and I don’t have enough space.
If I uninstall Forza 6, will I loose all my progress?. I don’t want to risk deleting without reassurance that the progress is safe.

As long as your console is online and connected to the Microsoft servers then all of your game saves should be also getting held by Microsoft and will be downloaded to the console again as required.

deleting games and apps from your Xbox One. If you've been connected to Xbox Live online, then the saves should be synced to the cloud, so uninstalling the games will clear that information locally, but if you choose to download them again at a later date,
your Save Data will sync once you launch the game.

There are options in My Games & Apps to delete your save files from Everywhere, which would include synced cloud saves, but you would have to do that specifically, in the "Manage Game" section of My Games & Apps by highlighting a title, pressing the menu
button on your controller, and selecting "Manage Game"

 

Your game saves on the Xbox One should automatically sync to the Cloud. So as long as you're connected to the internet and are using the profile used with the games progress. You can uninstall a game without worry of losing the save data. Take a look over

Go to manage game and apps. Press the menu button over the game title you wish to uninstall. Story progress you most likely will lose. Multiplayer is saved on servers.
