    Can I turn off parental permission when I'm in the room and logged in?


    I've got a Kinect with my Xbox One S, and set up accounts for myself and my family, and allowed facial recognition login using the Kinect.

    Now, the really annoying thing is that once the Kinect recognises my son is in the room, even if I'm the one logged in and using the account, I get continually asked to provide parental permission for my son to use App X. Given that this includes Cortana,
    this is immensely frustrating.

    Is there any way to turn this off, or at least get the Xbox to realise that I'm in the room and using my account, so there isn't even any need to request permission?

    My account still says I need parental permission when I just turned 20

    I was born July 19, 1993 and I still have to get parental permission for stuff. Right now I'm trying to pre-order the XBOX One and it keeps asking for parental permission when I'm an adult either tell me how to take it off or do it for me please. I just
    want to pre-order the XBOX One, fix it please.

    Hey, I just tried to redeem a code for some Microsoft Points, and it said I had to agree to the new xbox update and all that good stuff. So I did, but now it's saying that I need parental permission to do it? I am over 18 years old now, and I have no idea
    what the parental password is (nor do my parents). Any way I can turn the parental settings on my account off without the email/password used to turn them on?

    No,i never sign out when i leave from my room, to be honest,the first thing i do when i turn on the console is to log in, and then,i never log out, i just turn off the console.

    What I can suggest is since the permission isn't coming through, you should turn off permissions on her account and let her buy the subscription, afterwards you turn the ask parent permission back on.

    I'm pretty sure it has to do with kinect measuring the amount of light in the room. If I turn kinect off, it goes to full brightness, but when I turn it back on - it dims again because my room has low light in it.

    I have a few consoles and have only experienced this issue a couple times. Historically, this happens to me, when I'm in game still, or logged in on the other console, and haven't closed the game. Xbox uses multitasking so technically the game is still running
    in the background. Does this continue to happen if you back out of the game, then select menu on the game tile, and click close? This completely turns off the game. If that doesn't help try actually logging off your profile before going to the room.

    Let us know if either of these solutions work for you. Also does this happen only one way? Meaning does it only happen when you go from Room A to Room B, or does it happen on Room A and Room B?
