    I am considering buying an Xbox One but all my friends have 360's and I would still like to be able to play with them.

    I was just wondering if anyone had tried or knew if this was possible and if they had both whether they could check?

    How many consoles do you have include gaming pc and handled

    Currently Own:

    PC - needs an upgrade but runs games at decent settings on Windows 8
    Surface RT
    Nokia Lumia 920
    4x Xbox 360's - 2005 launch console, Halo 3, Halo Reach and Halo 4 consoles.

    hello,

    I cannot (and none of my friends can) connect to halo 4 servers. all the players I played with or against recently are not in matchmaking. is there a link with the Xbox one MCC update ?

    Have you tried this yet? I'll try it and let you know, but I'm gonna guess it wont work....stay tuned. May take a few hours because I'm not home right now.

    No, this is not possible. The networking, matchmaking, and the way the multiplayer works in general are vastly different on the MCC compared to Halo 4 on the 360.

    Think of it like trying to connect CoD Ghosts on the 360 with somebody playing it on the Xbox One. They're the same game, but the networking side is very different and not compatible.

    Shadown speaks the truth, there is no playing with anyone between Xbox One's and 360's..... thats why your only able to send text messages between the two systems..

    Shadown speaks the truth, there is no playing with anyone between Xbox One's and 360's..... thats why your only able to send text messages between the two systems..

    That would be one mighty expensive game. 360=$60 XB1=$409. But MCC only includes Halo 1 thru Halo 4 not Halo 5

    Are you trying to system link between Xbox ones that are playing the Halo: Master Chief Collection and Xbox 360s that are playing the Xbox 360/Xbox Original versions of those games? I'm pretty sure that cross-play between Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of
    the games will not work. You can cross-play with the Xbox 360 version of the games on both consoles, for example, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 are backwards compatible on Xbox one.

    You will either need all Xbox ones playing the Halo: Master Chief Collection or all Xbox 360s running the Xbox 360 Halo game of your choice.
