Can i switch to another region to buy a dlc and then switch back to my original ?

Hey, im having trouble in finding some solid answers, i want to buy a dlc from a game called dirt 3 from the xbox 360 to my xbox one, and when im in my default region it says the dlc is region blocked in my country (the game is too but i bought it in the
360 back in the day), am i allowed to change regions (example: the Us,Uk) buy the dlc in the other region, and then switch back to my original region without getting a ban or enforcement action ? Iv'e seen some people say you can get banned but at the same
time there is also some threads saying that you don't get banned. Help would be apreciated!

Yes, you would be putting yourself at risk for being banned by changing your region to purchase something that is not available in your own. You also run the risk of not being able to download it since you're not physically in the region you would be changing
to (region locked content can only be downloaded if your account region matches your physical location).

Its one of the pitfalls when you decide to switch regions for buying a game. You will have to wait the 3 months to switch it back. This ability to change regions was supposed to be used for when you move to another region and not to do that to buy a game.

Not what Im saying at all. Might be some bad explanation on my part.

You can buy the game from America and purchase the DLC from your country. But if the DLC is cheaper like the game you purchased you can switch to America and buy it there.

Gift cards aren't required, but if you ever get ahold of a gift card from a separate country you'll need to switch to that region and redeem it, then you can switch back.

Like I said Xbox One is region free, so games and DLC can be purchased from any form of retail and work perfectly fine no matter what country.

The Xbox One is a region free console so what that means is...

The DLC's will work just fine, you can buy them and switch back to your native region. The same can be done with redeemable codes, so if you buy a code for a game or service for the US, switch your region to the United States and redeem.

As long as you have a valid form of payment you shouldn't run into any issues!
