    So my brother has
    been using my account until he was old
    enough to make is own. Is it possible for him to make an account and transfer all his data, games and achievements or will he have to start over?

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are seeking a way to transfer over save data and achievements.

    At this time you can't move your services, save data or achievements from one Microsoft account to another. This option may be available in the future. This is stated in the

    Microsoft account on Xbox console FAQ    .

    I'm sorry about any confusion or turmoil this might have caused.

    The new console is probably going to take a LONG time to come out. I'd buy the new Xbox, but be sure to get a transfer cable so you can switch over all of your data.

    Once you plug in the controller with a cord it switches over to that as a means of transfer. With a wired controller the wire is it's only means of data transfer

    No unfortunately you cannot. It may be worth sticking to one account going forward—I know this can be frustrating at first if you have game save data you want to save though. I ran into a similar situation about a decade ago switching over between profiles.
