Can I switch from a year subscription to monthly?

I'm low on funds at the moment, but I don't want to lose my GT that I've had since the beginning of XBL. The Microsoft website is difficult to navigate, that is, if it's possible to switch from year to month. My subscription renews middle of next month.
If I can't do a monthly charge, I most likely will have to let the account expire.

Every fourteen days I will switch off for two days a premium version for a day with a call to renew my subscription.

Xbox Live subscription purchase from Amazon

Hello,

I purchased a one year Live subscription from Amazon a day ago and when I clicked to redeem the code, it redeemed it on the wrong Live account. It redeemed it on the account I do not use anymore and I was wondering if there was any way I could switch that
subscription to my regular account. Thank you very much for any help you can give.

To get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a year, you can purchase a 12-month subscription from the Microsoft Store or from a retailer that sells Xbox gift cards. To change your Xbox Game Pass subscription from monthly to yearly, you can go to the Xbox Game Pass section on your Xbox console or on the Xbox website, select "Manage," and then choose the option to switch to a yearly subscription. Keep in mind that you may need to pay the full cost of the yearly subscription upfront.

Well, the DOT cards are spendy; if you have a quarterly or annual subscription now, you can switch to Prepaid Code Cards w/ no penalty at lower prices from Amazon.Com, WalMart.Com or Target. Is your current subscription monthly, quarterly or annual?

I started this thread 2 years ago when they told us they were gonna be demanding a monthly subscription.

They've flushed the subscription fee. In fact on the website now "No monthly subscription fee" is actually a selling point.

I know it's not "Skyrim: Online" but it's own unique beast.

Now that I can get it without having to pay that greedy sub I'm happy to check out the game.

Can I switch from a year subscription to monthly?
