Yes, it is possible to stream Dolby Atmos through various services and get Atmos through headphones. However, this will depend on several factors, including the device or platform you are using to stream the content, the type of headphones you have, and the specific content you are trying to access.

Some streaming services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+, offer Dolby Atmos content, but you will need a compatible device, such as a smart TV or a streaming media player, that supports the Dolby Atmos format. Additionally, you will need a pair of headphones that support Dolby Atmos, such as the Plantronics RIG 800LX, the Sony WH-1000XM4, or the Sennheiser Ambeo Smart Headset.

Once you have both the compatible device and headphones, you will need to make sure that Dolby Atmos is enabled on both the streaming service and your device settings. If all these conditions are met, you should be able to enjoy the immersive sound experience of Dolby Atmos through your headphones while streaming content.

Go to the console settings, and under the video and audio settings, you can enable the option to hear game sound through your headphones.

On the same settings page, you can also choose to have either regular stereo sound coming through your headphones, or you can use "Windows Sonic" to get spatial 3D sound, similar to Dolby Atmos, or if you have purchased the full Dolby Atmos App, you can

After you've enabled game sound through your headphones, you can then choose the balance between game sound and chat sound with the sliders mentioned by the posts above.

Is it possible that you set your sound output for headphones to Dolby Atmos and didn't buy the Dolby Atmos App?

If so, you will be able to try Dolby Atmos through Headphones for 14 days, after which it'll stop working.

You need to switch to basic Stereo or Windows Sonic if you want spatial 3D sound without paying for Dolby Atmos.

While Dolby Atmos for Headphones is enabled by a license key managed through the Dolby Access app, the Dolby Atmos encoding is integrated into the system software.

Did you start Dolby's 30-day free trial or did you pay the one-time payment (14.99$) to unlock Dolby Atmos for Headphones through the app? Or did you redeem a pre-paid code unlocking access to Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is not free. The app is free to download but you won't be able to set up Dolby Atmos for Headphones unless you get access using the methods I asked above.
