    Can I stop games from auto recording clips?


    I'm getting fairly sick of EA's games in particular recording all sorts of clips automatically that I don't want. Is there a way to stop all these stupid clips from being recorded and clogging up my Upload app?

    Can I stop games from auto recording clips?

    I have a feeling this change will come soon. It seems silly that we can't control this currently. I would love to have my game DVR on so I could catch some awesome moments, but I can't stand the constant auto recordings. Some games are worse than others.

    you can disable game dvr from Settings / preferences, i think this should do it

    But that will disable all recording. I just want to stop Madden from recording every touchdown without me saying Xbox record that, UFC from recording every KO without me saying Xbox record that, etc.

    I want this too, I want it to only record if I say xbox record that but no automatic ones

    That's what it's doing. If you disable this checkbox in the settings, there will be no more automatic recording, but you are still able to start recording by saying "Xbox record that!".

    There is no option to have it disabled only for certain games.

    System won't stop recording clips

    I have to agree with SirEzhno here, i mostly play fifa 14 right now and i am getting at least 5/6 auto recording per match.

    Back in December there was an option in the system menu to stop the DVR from auto recording clips although "Xbox Record that" still worked and this stopped any auto recording, however once the April update came i started getting the pop ups again and this
    time i can't stop it from happening. Whenever i want to use upload studio it goes slowly because there is about 200 "temporary" fifa recordings in my clips. I say "temporary" because some of them are now a month old and im having to manually go and delete
    every clip which is simply ridiculous.

    Please Microsoft allow us the ability to stop games from auto recording and uploading clips onto Upload!

    That's what it's doing. If you disable this checkbox in the settings, there will be no more automatic recording, but you are still able to start recording by saying "Xbox record that!".

    There is no option to have it disabled only for certain games.
