How can I set up screen time likits but not lose my sons skins?

My wife and I want to limit screen time - with parental controls- for our son but his username is tied to my wifes account. It wont let us set parental controls because her account is for an adult instead of a child. How can we keep his games and things
he earned while setting this up? Suggestions?

Hi there,

as far as I know screen time etc. can only be set on child accounts, so that option is Not available for adult accounts.

Hey there!

Unfortunately there is no setting that will prevent him from accessing the MAC address. If you are attempting to set up Timers for when he can and can't use the console you can always update the parental settings and

Set up screen time limits for your child.

By setting it up this way, even if the Mac address is changed the screen time settings will still be placed directly to the account from the parent account and it will only allow him to play within the times that are set.

The parent account has access to screen time limits. If you are the parent, I would suggest you set a strong password and never allow your child access to it.

I think the parents should be able to enable time limits on their own accounts, if they choose. It is a feature set their programmers have already developed, so it shouldn't be too difficult to make it available within parental accounts. If you don't want
to use it, leave the screen time limits off. That's a win-win for everyone.
