    Can I send in a harddrive to get looked at?


    So my xbox 360 s harddrive (250gb) whenever I plug it into my xbox, it goes straight to red ring of death, whenever it's out of the xbox, the xbox works fine.

    Is there anyway I can send the hard drive in somewhere to get it fixed? I have a really important gamertag on that hard drive that I have no idea what the email and such is that I really need.

    error code and sent in twice already

    might be a while before I can get a new harddrive for it.... its not mine and I just don't have the additional cash to buy a new one. but I don't get how support didn't notify me that it was the harddrive when ive sent it in twice... at least they could
    have notified me that it was indeed the harddrive instead of spending 6 hours in chat, car drives to send it out twice. mehhhhhhhhhh anyhow whats done is done... all I can hope is that it is the harddrive

  3. Getting disc read error, but downloaded the game from marketplace?

    I get this problem with all my games. I can play them fine on the disc but if I install them I get the disc unreadable message. I looked around for a while and it sounds like its my harddrive going bad.

    Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately that is not an option that Microsoft provides. Perhaps you could try using the hard drive in a friends console to see if you can access it from there.

    If that doesn't work then you can contact phone support. So long as you can answer some account specific questions they will give you the email address associated with the account.

    Wow just when I wanted to play some xbox today......

    I was able to get it out but the harddrive is done for sure. I wonder if there is anyway they can recover my game saves if I send it in.

    Is it stored too an internal harddrive or external harddrive? If you send it in too a specalist computer shop they can extract any data stored on the laptop for you.

    Im sorry that that happened to you but unfortunately there is no way within the Terms of Service that you can do to get it back, and any attempt to recover it yourself is a violation,

    But look at the brite side, you can redo all events and make differnt choices in the game.

    If you dont want to do that you can always contact microsoft support to see if you can send in your harddrive to recover your lost data but I dont think they will.
