Can I run my Live Acct on 3 xboxes?

We're thinking of getting our two oldest kids their own xboxes for Christmas.

I'm a total luddite with stuff like this so I want to know if my existing Live Gold acct will cover all 3.

I'd like some remote access to their goings on and would really appreciate some guidance on where to go for more info.

Whenever I try to ask a question of the robot assistants they seem to misunderstand and direct me all over the place.

New Computer, Windows 8, linking Microsoft acct

I purchased a new computer with Windows 8, I created a new Microsoft acct for it because I don't have access to my email originally associated with my Live/MS acct. I managed to then change the live/MS acct email to my current one (and delete the old one,)
but my computer created a new Xbox profile when I tried to login to my Xbox live acct. So now I have two XBL accts linked to my MS acct, but I can only access the new one on Xbox.com. Is there anyway I can get my old acct to be the one connected to my MS acct
and get rid of this new one, or am I stuck with a new XBL acct if I want them linked?

trying to see how i can get my old 360 offline acct to merge with my live acct. is there a way it can be done.

 

The best practice is for each person to have their own Microsoft account. You can make the kids a child account and can monitor their activity and put on restrictions with parental controls.

With 3 consoles it gets complicated on how family share works. You will have 1 home console that can have all accounts work on it without the main account being logged in. On the other consoles you can access the games and features of live, but they other
accounts won't be able to unless you are logged in as well.

Since you can't be logged into more than 1 console at a time, it's not possible for all 3 consoles to be using the shared live features at the same time.

 

Xbox share is only meant for 2 people I'm afraid. We have 4 consoles in the house so 2 share and 2 share. It's still a big saving all round. But not so much for 3. And yes if you create child accounts for them, add those accounts to your family on

Not at the same time. Suddenly, you can only be logged on one console because the other one will automatically log you off. So you must have your accounts created separately.

Assuming I use my share with child 1s console...

If I hold the main acct, can child 1 log in to live if I'm not logged in on my XB?

To be fair, it's a rare moment my Xbox isn't logged in due to Netflix, Now TV and Neverwinter (please don't judge me...).

But since they'll be in their bedrooms not hogging my console it will actually have the opportunity for the fans to take a break if they get their own. I'd just prefer if it didn't HAVE to be on for him to be on.
