    Can I roll back to Xbox Kinect voice commands instead of Cortana?


    Hi there,

    Cortana has been placed on my xbox voice commands, I wish to roll back to Kinects "Xbox" voice commands. Cortana needs more work, for example I said "Hey Cortana go to Comedy Central" Which usually would take me to the app, instead it gave me driving directions
    to comedy central in long beach.....

    Is it as simple as rolling off the preview release? Or is there something I am missing?

    Do voice commands work with the headset?

    I don't think I need to expand much on that,can the voice commands on the Xbox One be use with a headset mic instead of the Kinect?

    Go to Settings,then System & you can disable Cortana there & revert back to the old voice commands.

    Any other preview questions should be posted in the preview forums

    Hi there,

    I did that and restarted my xbox but it did not reinstate my Kinect voice commands, even after updating my kinect audio settings. When I said Xbox, it did nothing no matter what. I was curious if it just completely changed my ability to use my xbox kinect
    voice commands.

    You might have to re calibrate your Kinect.

    Like I said,you should post in the preview forums where there's a bunch of info on the various features of the new updates etc.

    You might have to re calibrate your Kinect.

    Turning off voice commands completely

    Voice commands will only work if you have a kinect or a headset. Cortana has to be turned on first before you use her voice commands, and if you do not have a kinect, then the Xbox voice commands will not be turned on.
