Can I 'risk' playing Destiny?

First time ordering from SimplyGames.com and it's here! But, I'm thinking it's a little TOO early to play it?

Risk - How can I earn more stars?

I have been playing this a lot, and I'm still not sure how to collect more than 1 star per turn. Do you have to take several territories, do you have to take territories with a large number of troops, are there specific territories that count for more? I
would like to find a consistent way to earn these quicker. Thank you.

Also, there is still not a forum for this and it's been out for a month. You can't stream the game on twitch either. Any info on this stuff would be awesome too.

Its not out here either, I saw it on the market, and decided to get it the next day, at the time it said it was unavailable, then 30 minutes later it was gone

 

Ooh you jammy bleeder! Dunno about the risk mate? I read somewhere there's a pretty significant day one patch needed, so might be best to hold off

 

I maybe wrong but I didn't think you could play until the servers were up? And yes you are a jammy git

 

Lol, cheers guys. Though I won't consider myself jammy if I'm unable to play it either for servers not being up or Microsoft taking a dim view at it.

I've played games 1-2 days early when I used to get them from ShopTo when I knew there'd be no trouble. But with it only being Saturday and a 'big' game. I'm actually scared to even attempt to try it!

 

Got my copy today as well.Servers will be switched on at 12pm Monday.

Bungie say you'll be fine after then but they don't run xbox live so i'd wait until something official from microsoft is announced.

Just remember that in the code of conduct it does say you can get banned for playing a game before the official release date so that's why i say wait for Microsoft to say something.

 

Bungie have said servers won't be turned on until Monday, guess it's region timed? If I was you I wouldn't be able to resist trying though!

 

According to Shopto ( they originally said midnight ) but now it's been updated saying you will be able to play the game from Noon on Monday ..

I know most here have received games early from places like Simplygames, Shopto but like Mr Badger said, it does say in the T&C now that you can be banned for playing a game before release, knowing this I personally wouldn't chance it unless Microsoft said
otherwise.

 

Thanks guys! I was unaware of when the servers went live. So for that reason it'd be a rather pointless risk inserting the disc, I guess! - Would've been nice to be able to install it ready, but I better not!

 

VG247 are reporting that servers will be turned on at 12 noon Monday (GMT)..

 

Yeah cheers, I don't mind 'trying' on Monday, but I thought Saturday would be pushing it. If it was a generic non-AAA title, I'd happily play it today. But this is the earliest I've ever received a game and being an online-only game, as I learned in this
thread, I can't play it even if I wanted to with the servers not up and running!

 

I tried playing straight away.

It just tells you the servers are not currently available.

I was going to start a thread asking when they were up but you guys have answered my question so cheers for that.

Be interesting if Microsoft and other Console Companies were able to lock games so that they could not be played until the released date.

Would it actually reduce the number of pirated or stolen copies?

 

Did any start menu appear etc? I thought it would have shown in your played games list. Also, I'm assuming you have the game 'installed' on your One now?

 

I installed my disc copy offline because it's faster that way.

Then when I started the game I got the Update. That's really small so it's over quickly.

Then, like I said, it goes to the start menu and signs you in but says the servers aren't up.

When I'm on "Destiny" it shows that I'm playing it. I was mobbed by people asking me about it. It might not show on XBox.com but then a few things either don't show or show up later.
