Can I restore a previous gamertag?

Logged out of Minecraft and back in (Microsoft login). Account was recognized and when asked for gamertag, I couldn't use my previous one. Had to make a new tag. All previous activity was lost. Is there any way to get that other activity back? Can I restore the previous gamer tag?

Are you sure you signed back in to the correct Microsoft account? It sounds like you signed into a different account and set up a new Xbox profile instead accessing your existing account.

Check your email inbox to confirm which account you used for Minecraft.

Yes, I signed into the same email.

Have you received any emails recently about your account details being changed? Check your inbox for any messages from Microsoft, including the Junk folder.

Dear,

Here is a statement of warning regarding changing Gamertag’s

“Be aware that you may lose your original gamertag permanently if you make a change.”

I suggest you to contact support and ask them if they can restore it.

Worst case try to create the same one.

If nothing works get a brand new Gamertag that is better than your Previous one.Happy Gaming

Unfortunately if you created a new save and saved over your previous save there isn't a way to recover it, as it would have replaced your cloud save as well. Really sorry to hear about the troubles and if you have any other Xbox support questions, feel free
