  1. Can i repair or replace my Xbox One controller?

The left Bumper doesn't work properly, by this i mean that in games half of the time nothing happens when i press LB and mostly i need to press a a bit harder and longer so it does something at all. In all tutorials to fix this by yourself that i found,
the tip of the Bumper is broken so you just need to replace him, but mine is completly fine. It seems the problem is the small button which the bumper presses, i noticed that this button doesn't make the ''click'' noise which the right one does.

My question is can i repair this somehow by myself and if not i heard you can write the support for a replacement, can i do this even if i dont own a xbox one and use the controller for my PC?

    Thanks for all answers

    :)

    Repair or replace?

I would definitely consider replacing the model. The price you listed is a little better than half the cost of a new one here in Canada.

Not only will you get a better functioning console but you'll have a one year warranty with it as well. If you get one with a hard drive be sure to get an official Xbox transfer cable to transfer your content from the old drive to the new drive (If you
are currently using an S or E console then you don't need the cable because the drive is compatible - if you are using an FAT console then the cable is required to transfer).

Be sure to only use an official transfer cable as 3rd party cables have been known to ruin both hard drives and repairs are not supported for 3rd party issues.

    Repair or replace?

That's the price to replace it or the part inside that's broken. If it's a phat console, it will probably be replaced with a refurb console, if the part cannot be fixed...which is pretty much everything inside the console.

Can i repair or replace my Xbox One controller?

Accessories such as Controllers are covered in the United States by the Microsoft Warranty of up to 90 days from date of purchase. If it is older then that, Support will not replace the Controller under Warranty.

Simplest advice if its older then 90 days, buy a new one. If you have an In-Store Warranty that is longer then 90 days for the entire Console you might want to consider using that and just return the entire Console and Accessories for another. If you live in
another Region then the US, check how long your Warranty is on Accessories.

TLCan i repair or replace my Xbox One controller? :DR- Controllers break, buy another or try replacing it. Its more then likely going to cost money.

I think in the UK it should be a straight up minimum 12 month warranty, whatever the manufacturer says is overruled as their conditions must not minimize our legal rights. Same would apply to Australia and New Zealand due to our consumer protection legislations
where in it, it states it must last a reasonable time (12 months is standard for electronic products, not this mere 90 days), and it's required to be durable and fit for it's purpose. Especially if you live in NZ and Australia, if it's less than 12 months
old, return it to the retail store and organize a repair or replacement, but most tend to go for replacement rather than wait. Otherwise if you live in the US, follow what the person said above me. In NZ, retailers have a legal obligation to sort out claims.
Saves the hassle of us dealing with the manufacturer.

    Xbox One Controller Issues

    Thanks for the help.

My console is plugged into an outlet directly, My other controller has no issues. I looked at the repair/replace information and it's offering an exchange. However the control I have is a Red one and it's only offering a Black or White replacement. Is the
Red controller not considered a standard one? Or do they not replace the controller with a matching one?

Xbox Elite 2 Controller - repair query

    Dear Scotty0955

    Thank you for your reply.

One of the first things I have done when started experiencing the issue was to make sure that the device is up to date, which it was.

I will send it in for the repair but my original question was and still is - will my controller be replaced with a second hand one if it cant be repaired? If that's the case, can I be contacted if my controller is irreparable before any replacement is issued?

Thank you and all the best
