Can I redeem games online?

So, I got the Halo 5 Xbox One and with it came a digital download for Halo 5. I scratched off the film and, as it turns out, everything beneath it had shredded. So I thought, "why not try redeeming online, as then I don't have to type everything out over
and over," but then, I wondered if you could actually redeem games online. Can you?

Xbox One code redeemed on wrong account

I redeemed a game code that I received when I purchased Assassins Creed: Origins Deluxe edition on my wrong account and I'm wondering if there's a way I can redeem it again (with proof of purchase of game and code of course).

Yes, you can redeem codes online. Here's the link:
account.xbox.com/.../RedeemCode

Make sure you are signed into the correct account before redeeming though as content cannot be transferred between accounts.

Once redeemed, the game should begin to download automatically on your console. If not, go to My Games & Apps and scroll all the way to the right to the section called "Ready to Install" and you should see a tile for Halo 5: Guardians; simply hit A to begin
the download.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. If you purchased an Xbox One X Fallout bundle, then you'll have a code for redemption included in the box materials itself, most likely located on an insert/flier. Be sure to look through the entire
box. You can either choose to redeem the code via the console once you've signed in with your Xbox profile information, or you can sign in online to your account there and redeem it online.

the only way to get nuketown on 2 consoles is to have the profile it was redeemed on online and on the second xbox, not the console it was redeemed on. On the console it was redeemed on, you can use the profile it wasn't redeemed on

just to be sure, do you have a online pass code and redeemed it for this game, as far as I know this game needs an online pass to be able to play online?

that is what I thought it was even when you redeem an online pass it is locked to the game tag that redeemed it so a different tag will have to buy it in order to use the online play even if they already have a gold membership.
