can I redeem games for Xbox One w/o the console

So I'm getting an Xbox One for my birthday, and was wondering if I can redeem this month's games with gold now but download them when I get the console.

You can buy a digital code card that says it's for xbox one on it and redeem that on your console for the digital game. You can't redeem PC versions of games for your xbox one, for example. It has to say Xbox one on it, specifically.

 

EarPods w/ Chatpad

I have old Xbox controller (w/o 3.5mm jack) can I use earpods w/ Chatpad for game sound and mic.?

 

You can get them via the xbox app on your pc.

You will need a gold subscription or trial for xbox one games.

Never used the app for gwg but I would think you'll also need a credit/debit card or paypal account linked to your account as well.

 

Don't forget to get the 360 games as well. All 360 GWG are backwards compatible.

I don't think I need a payment method as gwg is for active gold membership and I am a gold member.

 

You still need a payment option linked to your account for some gwg.

If you download the xbox 360 games from any device other than a xbox 360 you need a credit/debit card linked to your account.

 

For 360 content you will, but for One content you won't.

Draft Badger is correct, I can verify this. Game with Gold for 360 on the xbox one requires a credit/debit card. Slime Ranchers is a xbox one game wild Bayonetta is the current xbox 360 game during the time frame of this post. As he said you will need
to for "some" games. If have personally experienced this with my purchase just has Draft Badger has described.

 

Slime Rancher is an Xbox One game.

Bayoneta is the current 360 game available for download via GWG.
