Can I recover my old Minecraft Worlds?

Hello there.

I've never asked here, I don't think, but I am struggling.

Recently, I have upgraded my computer to Windows 11 and added extra storage space.

But after I have done that and reinstalled Minecraft Launcher, my old Worlds no longer appear when selecting single player. Google hasn't helped and only says to back them up first, which if that is the case, I didn't know I was meant to do that to start with. I still have the World data and names of them in the storage, but just moving them to the newer Minecraft Launcher doesn't work. Have I lost my old Worlds forever, or is there a way to bring them back?

Note: I used the Pixelmon modification when playing the Worlds. *1.12.2 Forge version.

*Can't remember how I got this version last time.

Please help me if possible.

You're welcome Michael
And yes, try doing a backup regularly. I think that 1 time per week is enough. Or every 15 days

Hi, to backup worlds in Java you need to copy and paste the entire folder(s)

Jar files are not enough

I you haven't backup your worlds properly unfortunately is not possible to recover them

Ah, okay.

It seems to be a common problem with JAR Files not opening, I made a Batch File to fix it.
