Can I put xbox one games from my external hard drive onto my pc to play them?

I just recently got a pc and I don't want to spend a lot of money on games that I already have on my xbox one, is it possible to take a external hard drive that stores xbox one games and plug it into my computer to download those games that are already on the external hard drive?

No. Xbox files are not meant to be seen by a PC so it wouldn't read them properly and would probably want to format the drive for PC use which would erase the games. If the games support Play Anywhere, you can redownload them on the PC through your library in the Microsoft Store or Xbox app.

Please tell users of the xbox one that once they allow the xbox one to format an external hard drive they will be unable to use this hard drive with there PC. I have very little interest in downloading the games i've played onto it. I mainly wanted to
download movies from my external hard drive to my xbox one for viewing movies. Same with songs (much like on the ps3 or even the xbox 360) I am very dissapointed with the download as it does not allow me to do this and futher more i now have a useless external
hard drive!

Can external drive use PC stuff and Xbox stuff at the same time? I moved everything from my PC to my drive after I formatted it on the PC like pics and docs etc. Next I tried to do it on my ONE, but it said I need to format it, but if I did, it would delete
everything on the external drive.

I moved it all back on to the PC then formatted it on xbox, but then when I tried to put stuff from the PC back onto it, it said I need to reformat it again.

Now I have a 1TB drive with 920 gigs available and nothing else to put on it meanwhile my ONE internal drive is filling up quick.

As an idea for xbox one hard drives because they are internal and not external try plugging in an external drive to save or transfer all important games to external hard drive and leave not so important games onto internal drive
that way you can take them anywhere and not have hard drive failures with xbox one.

As already replied too, yes. But you will need to download them onto your new console once you set up the same account on the new one. I purchased an external hard drive before I got my new one. Moved my games onto that. Plugged it permanently into
my new xbox and play games directly from that.
