Can i purchase a digital game with MS Currency?

Hey there, i have a serious question.. *The one on the title*

I want to buy "Sonic Unleashed", download it digitaly to my Xbox 360. But there's a little problem, i don't have a credit card, so, i want to buy one of these 25$ Gift cards..

So that money will be transfered into my Xbox Account as MS Currency.. so..

Can i buy the game i want with that money? I mean.. without the need to add a credit card in my billing information, because.. As i said above, i don't have a credit/debit card, just purchasing that gift card in my store, reedem it in my account, purchase
the game and.. Done.. Can i do that with Xbox Money?

NextGen EA Upgrade Deal - Will MS Apply to Digital Sale?

EA has announced that several retailers will offer deep discounts for gamers who purchase the 360 version of FIFA 14 (or Madden) and then trade it in for the next-gen version when it releases. I would like to know if MS will honor this deal with digital
purchases from its own store? I have zero interest in buying a game disc ever again. It is odd that MS and EA wants to force me into purchasing physical media this gen as well as trading it for more physical media next gen. I thought their collective goal
was to move consumers toward a digital distribution model? Both FIFA/Madden are, or will be, available from the MS Games on Demand store. I see no reason why MS and EA cannot extend this special value to consumers who are already willing to go digital. Sure,
technically I cannot 'trade' my digital copy of FIFA (360), but MS can easily strip that version from my account. This would limit where I can play this to the single 360 used as the point of purchase. Considering most consumers jumping to the next-gen on
day-one probably don't care much about a last gen copy of FIFA it seems Microsoft and EA would be conceding very little to help usher in the digital age.

Once MS and Sony see the backlash, of always on internet and no used games they have 3 choices, abandon the new consoles, rethink the war on used games or go completely digital, lower digital prices and make all digital purchases compatiable with new consoles

Yes, you can. Basically, the only things you cannot purchase with money in your Microsoft Account are subscriptions, like Xbox Live Gold.

Unfortunately at this time there is no way to purchase XBL Gold with MS currency on the account. You would need to use a subscription card or a payment method listed on the account. The currency cards are for purchasing games, DLC, and other digital content
in the Store.

Hi COL T Potter,

MS Currency can only be used to purchase games, DLC, videos, and music. Unfortunately EA Access is a subscription and as such MS Points / Currency cannot be used to purchase this.

I've consulted your concern about your issue with our support here. We've got an answer to which why your account unable to use your currency from Microsoft Store.

Due to the law implemented by the government of Russia, Microsoft decided to change the currency of Microsoft Store Russia to USD for Russian gamers to still avail any digital games using USD currency.

This doesn't mean that you can't purchase anything though, other digital codes such as Gold subscriptions or anything can still be purchase through retailer store in your country.
That's the reason why your currency is not available anymore at the Microsoft Store.

I'm sorry, this doesn't mean that you're not be able to purchase digital items from your Microsoft account, it just happened that your government did not allow to use Russian currency from your region. It change only to US currency, but you can still purchase
digital items to your account.

I'm sorry, yes, in order for you to purchase from your account using USD currency, you can purchase Xbox Gift Card or Microsoft Gift card in USD currency to any retailer store in your region. Then, redeem it to your account.

It's all fake currency. I just translated it into a "common" fake currency that can be used to purchase either 1 month of Live or MS Points.
