Can I postpone these mandatory updates ?

There is an initial update that is mandatory. After that update, you can go offline.

Is that the Console update or game update? If it is the console update it is ok. But is there mandatory update for EVERY game purchased physically?

System updates are prioritized without them playing the game and the Xbox will not work properly. Therefore, it is always a priority to make such an update.
Then the updates are corrective, etc. and can be postponed. Then the game updates and without them are usually not played again unless updated.

It's not there yet, it'll 'probably' be sometime tonight, don't be surprised if it get fully postponed although on the positive side it appears to be M$... we're taking some **** from this game, it's starting to burn lol.

*edit* ^^^ It's the update being postponed - the maps are separate, allegedly.
