can i play with a friend on a different console

i have xbox one my brother has ps4. can we play together and how?

Yup that's correct, you can play local split screen without a gold membership, but if you wanted to play with a friend on a different console you will need a gold subscription.

 

No there is not cross platform support.

Unfortunaly Ubi doesn't not plan to enable cross play between ps4 and x1 on this game.

You could play with pc for a couple of games like rocket leauge

 

as much as i would love to say yes sadly the answer is no i think i know of only one or two actual cross platform games. one is star trek online because my brother plays on the pc and has teamed up with people on playstation and i heard from rumors that
for honor is as well however can not confirm or deny that one. fable legends before it got axed was supposed to be litterally cross platform but the game and studio got shut down.

 

You cannot play multiplayer The Division with Xbox One and PS4 because their system doesn't yet support cross platform.

Unfortunately you can not do so PlayStation and Xbox servers and not compatible with one another. Only ps4 and PC can play with each other same with Xbox. Xbox and PC can also but no ps4

 

Currently I don't think there's any cross platform games for xb1 and ps4. There was talk of this happening some time last year, but haven't seen any progress.

You can cross platform on windows 10 and xb1 with some of the new titles, like forza Horizon 3.
