Can I play the same world on PS and ipad?

If I do the 30-day trial if I cancel it after transferring it will it still work without having realms?

Sadly the only way is through Realms. Your worlds are only saved on the local storage of the device where you are playing, if you want to transfer your worlds on a different platform you will need Realms.

If you have not subscribed before, you can also use a free 30-day trial for Realms.

It will still work after you cancel, just make sure to download the world from Realms on your device. But of course the progress won't sync between devices anymore. Like for example if you made changes on the world from your iPad, that won't show up on PS because it is no longer in Realms.

As far as I remember, when I used my trial on iPad I had an option to like turn off renewal so when the trial runs out you will not be charged. It will just expire on its own. I'm not 100% sure, try to check.

You can check in your iPad settings > account > subscription.

I don’t have realms tho. How do I do that without using Realms.

I'm afraid your worlds are not saved on your Microsoft account, they are only on the local storage of your device. If you want to play your world on both PS and iPad, you will have to upload the world to Realms. Once you upload your world to Realms, it will be accessible on both devices.
