Can I play my Fallout 76 game that I have on Steam with my friend on XBOX PC APP thing?

Can you tell us what is happening or error when you are trying to play with your friends? If you are playing Fallout 76 via steam client, you should still be able to play with others so long as their platform is also a PC.

If the issue or error is showing on their end, ask them to check their Xbox settings since they are playing on Game Pass for PC, please have them check https://account.xbox.com/en-gb/Settings/Home by going to privacy&online safety please tell them to see if all multiplayer settings are enabled.

No I'm not. I bought Fallout 76 via Xbox app. What I ask is - why I can't get Fallout 1st on Microsoft store, but I can if I wished, to buy it on Steam. Now, the question is. PC games are available for Lithuania, a full fledge member of EU, and I CAN AND I BAUGHT FALLOUT 76 IT ON MICROSOFT STORE, why can't I buy another part of that game?

Thank you for responding, my steam account is linked but nothing really changed. When I play Fallout 76 PC in the recent players location, no recent players show up that I have played in game. Also the "Looking for a group" does not show up for this game but for others yes, this on the xbox game bar in the app. So i'm a bit frustrated, is there anyway to screen share with a technician? i't just very strange for me that it doesn't show up for me and the whole point of fallout 76 is to play and join others. The most important thing for me is the 'Looking for a group" section that doesn't show up.

i bought pc Ultimate game pass, then i bought fallout 76 on pc Ultimate game pass.

fallout 76 is free, on steam and bethesda.net, it is the account you pay for.

Unfortunately, characters and progress can't be shared or transferred between the PC and console versions of the game. For your reference, the following information has been quoted from Bethesda Support pages:

"Your characters, progress, and items will all be available to you whether you play Fallout 76 through the the Xbox App for PC or Steam.

However, if you already have Fallout 76 on one platform, you will not be able to transfer your Atoms or Fallout 1st membership balance between the Xbox App and Steam. Atoms you earn or purchase are only available on the platform you initially receive them.

PC and Console versions of Fallout 76 do not share progress."
