Can I play Minecraft ONLINE with a silver Account?

I have an Xbox one, and the main account on the Xbox (), Has gold and has purchased minecraft.

But my girlfriend has a silver, and she also plays minecraft online with me. How can she join me in a joinable online minecraft room (splitscreen), if shes silver?

Is it because it's splitscreen, and I own the game on a gold membership?

And if she got on her account, and played MC by herself.. would it let her play online with a silver, even tho the game is purchased thought a gold?

You can't play online with a silver account? so why would you need friends for minecraft?

Hey there,

Are you on Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

For 360, simply start an offline game and then connect a second controller to your Xbox then ask her to press start. This should then allow her to connect using her silver account. However, this has to be in an offline game, not an online game, otherwise
it will not allow her to sign in.

On the Xbox One, this should not matter as you are a gold member. If you are in a game, ask her to sign into her account with a second controller. Once she has signed into her account she can press start, and it will allow her to join your game split screen.

If you are wanting to play on split screen, please make sure you are using a HDMI cable. If your not using a HDMI cable, then you will not be able to play split screen. This is because Minecraft only supports HDMI connections for split screen.

Also, for support questions, you may find it best to post in the support forums for better support

Hey there Night,

Happy Wars is an online only game for Gold members, so you won't have access to that game as a silver member.

Are you getting that same download error when you try to download Minecraft?
Are you trying to download with the account that you purchased it on and the console you purchased it on?

If Minecraft is giving you an issue when you try to play multiplayer online, that will also be an issue with being a silver member, as online play is exclusive to Gold accounts.

well the account you are posting from is silver and silver accounts cannot play online only gold accounts can.
