I have found an article from Forza Support. As per them, if you have played Forza Horizon 5 on the Steam app, your game progress cannot be used or carried over to a different platform.

Just a heads up though that most of the game data is also being saved through cloud and cannot be accessed to prevent transferring of data. As far as I know, the data from your Xbox cannot be used to a steam game data. You can buy the game from the Xbox app itself for you to continue playing.

Steam and Xbox are two separate systems. To play a Steam game you'll need to be signed in with your Steam account on the Steam app. If you have any games that use Xbox Live, you'll need to sign in to those with your Microsoft account in-game.

Since Xbox Live is free on PC, you can also use multiple accounts, but not at the same time.

Games and save data are tied to the account bought/played on. So save data is stuck on your account.

What if my steam account and xbox account are seperate account. They dont have the same save data when i load both
