can I play games that were not bought in xbox store without discs using xbox live account?

I recently bought xbox live membership, and a xbox one 2 months before that. I want to know if the games I bought outside of xbox store can be played without discs. Essentially, the games I bought are just licenses to play it. If it exists in xbox store
too, I wonder if there is a way to transfer the license to my xbox live account. Thanks.

Pre Download Rebate

I've got a question, I know this is a bit late but why was the $15 rewarded bonus/rebate for pre-ordering games that were going to be released this year, for Xbox Live reward members, only included pre-ordering the hard copies from the Microsoft store and
not the digital versions through the Xbox Live store? I mean it seams kind of ridiculous that the digital versions were excluded from the deal and I honestly prefer to to do the digital considering I have to install the game anyway and I can fully utilize
the Xbox commands to switch from one game to another without swapping discs.

No, the disc copies of games you purchased need to have the disc in the console to play, even after installation. There are upsides and downsides to disc vs. downloaded games, this is one of the downsides of buying a physical copy.

If you got it from Xbox store then you won't need the disc. This applies to Xbox 360 as well if you have any games you bought from the Xbox store you can play without disc and play anywhere

If you bought a hard copy disk and that's how you installed the game. You will need to use the disc. You can rip a license off the disc on to the Xbox.

If you want to play the games without the disc you will have to buy the games digitally. Just make sure you have your Account that bought the games set to the Home Xbox because without internet connections. You will not be able to play the games without
an internet connections if your home xbox is set to another one

If you purchase a game (any game) from the Xbox store, then you can play it without a disc. So long as a purchase is made on your account, you can download and play it anytime.

If you have a disc, even if you install it on an Xbox or download updates, you still need the disc. To play it without the disc you'd need to purchase a digital copy of it
