    can i move an existing xbox account


    im looking into moving an Xbox account for a friend. its a divorce situation. the daughter had an Xbox account linked to the exs email. its all her stuff but he want her off his account for things not related to Xbox.. is there a way to switch a Xbox account to a new Microsoft account so she doesn't loose all her games?

    The daughter Xbox profile is using the mother/ex Microsoft account, right?

    I understand this situation, but unfortunately you cannot transfer an Xbox account to another Microsoft account, since they are linked to each other.

    Not exactly sure I understand what you want to do here. If both accounts exist through email addresses you can download them to your Xbox 360 and use both of them. There is no way, however, to merge two existing LIVE accounts/gamertags.

    Here are the steps to download profiles:

    Move existing profile to xbox live account

    It's not possible to merge accounts together. You would need to join Live with your existing account.
