Can I merge my Mojang-to-Microsoft account into this one?

    Hey there,

I recently did the Minecraft Mojang-to-Microsoft migration with my main Minecraft account to the email *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***, but that Java edition account is different to my preferred Microsoft account, and I didn't know at the time of doing it. I have to keep switching accounts to be able to use my Java edition. I was curious if it's possible to merge my Java edition account *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** with the profile Minecraft weegeemario to this microsoft account *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***, so I have my Java edition profile on my preferred Microsoft account. It's a pain to quickly log out and log back in with a different xbox profile just to use a different edition of Minecraft.

    :)

I don't remember my minecraft mircosoft account but i have the mojang account

    Thank you for your help!

Although no one is really helping me.

My problem is about mojang and microsoft account at the same time. so when I speak with microsoft support they ask me to go to xbox support when I go to xbox support they say that they dont have the 'tool' to help me recover my mojang or microsoft account that's why i need to speak with mojang when I go to mojang they ask me to ask xbox support again becauase they don't have access to microsoft account.

although my problem is really simple as i said i merged my mojang account to a microsoft one with the same email as my mojang one. but when i tried to log in with the microsoft account (which is the same as my mojang one) i got a messege that say's this account doesn't exist(although i merged it before and was already exist) would you like to create one ??? so i created the account again but then i didn't get the access to minecraft because they said that i should buy it (which means that the merge didn't happen) so when i tried to log in with my mojang account i got a messeage says that the account is already merged. so what i really want is what is the microsoft account that is linked to my mojang account if the merge really happend ????

Minecraft Windows 10 not owned by me anymore?

Yes it is the same account. Infact its the same email. my Mojang account uses the same email as my Microsoft account. This only started happening when Microsoft stated they would be merging accounts with Mojang.

I did the process of merging and now I no longer own minecraft.

Can I merge my Mojang-to-Microsoft account into this one?

    Hello!

My name is Dérek, I'm an independent platform consultant and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help you.

MrBacon, unfortunately it is not possible to merge the accounts, sorry.

Only if they had been migrated to the same Microsoft account.

For example, your mojang account that has Java and the other account that has Minecraft would have been migrated to the same microsoft account.

But after being migrated, there is no way to perform this type of action, so I'm really sorry.

I am at your disposal for any queries.

Migrating Mojang to Microsoft Account, not launching

Load launcher, click "Merge an account", "Get started". On the Merge an account page you can click "get started". On the Mojang site saying "It's time to move", you can click "Move my account" (below are the details of your email address associated with Mojang, NOTE this can differ if you used a different email address to create a Microsoft account with). Mojang will send your email a "code", paste this code in the browser on the page that says" Enter your code". Then submit and start migration. Follow prompts to make a microsoft account, or use one you already created. Click on "Pick the account or make a new one", then follow prompts to make one or use one. Then click "Got it", on the move complete page. You have now merged your account. Open your Launcher, and log in with your "Microsoft" account now merged with your minecraft account username. If the merge was successful a screen will pop up asking you to login to mojang, click the "GO BACK" button, then delete the mojang account. Log in with the "Microsoft Account", and you should be good to go. If you are still having difficulties, it may be that you are using a wrong Microsoft login registered for that Minecraft account.

If all else fails, you can contact Mojang and Microsoft. Mojang told me the issue was not on their end it was Microsofts. Microsoft said there was a different Microsoft Gamer Tag associated with my Minecraft username. I took a screen shot of the page where it shows on Mojang, the Microsoft account that will be linked to my Mc account, and that's what the problem was as I had changed my gamer tag and it was registered to my old one. (u can only change the gamer tag twice for free btw). The system didn't recognize my new account. When I told them my old account, they were able to confirm my mc name was still linked to that one.

If this could be the issue, do you know your prior name? If so have that handy. Google "Xbox Support" and you will get a Microsoft support page. Under "Customer Support" click, "Contact us" follow those prompts as best as you can so they know which department can call you. They'll call you and ask you questions about your accounts and help resolve your issue and let you know if there are any bugs etc. If you did happen to change your Microsoft Gamer tag in the process, have the name ready so they can look that up. It'll tell them which MC account is linked to it, and it can redirect it if need be. If Microsoft says they cannot help you, if you know your ID number for your MC account (at the time of purchase they email you this), you can email Mojang and give them your ID number and can see if there are any problems linked to your account since that verifies it is your account, but it seems to be a Microsoft problem.

    Best of luck
